MI-LSAMP Research Grant Opportunities
The Michigan – Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (MI-LSAMP) Program is a partnership between WSU, University of Michigan, Michigan State University and Western Michigan University to increase the number of minority students earning baccalaureate degrees each year in science, technology, engineering and mathematical (STEM) fields.

Applications are available on the MI-LSAMP website. For more information contact Michelle Reaves at (313) 577-4029 or e-mail wsu-lsamp@eng.wayne.edu.

Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP)

SROP is offered collaboratively among several midwestern universities with the goal of preparing undergraduates underrepresented in their field for advanced studies in a PhD-granting program. Participants typically are outstanding undergrads who want to conduct intensive research across a variety of disciplines. Students must complete at least two years at their home undergraduate institution before taking part. Participating institutions include the University of Michigan, Michigan State, the University of Chicago and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
